I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief that family photography has evolved over the past few decades. Gone are the stiff studio poses of the 90’s- you remember them, with the terrible matching outfits and smiles so frozen you felt like your mouth was going to break.

Give them room to run or a game to play and they couldn’t care less that you’re taking pictures- all they know is that they’re having fun! I love Lifestyle sessions since they give the time and space to let kids be themselves, so when you look at your photos in years to come you’ll remember how their little eyes sparkled and the way their baby faces lit up like a firework when they were happy.
2. Space to be Yourself
It’s tough to be comfortable in front of the camera when you feel rushed, stiff, and pressured to get that perfect shot. Instead, Lifestyle sessions give permission to forget about the stress. Your photographer will direct you for the best lighting and posing but also knows when to step back and just click that shutter as real-life moments unfold, like when your child brings you a newly found rock treasure or your spouse makes you belly laugh with an un-censored inside joke.
